The area is also famous for being the cradle of wine because, thanks to its diversified geographical-landscape composition, it allows to grow a very wide variety of indigenous vines. The grapes which are cultivated by Wine Veranda are one of the famous Georgian indigenous kinds, the "Rkatsiteli". The area is located in the territory of the Alazani Valley, at the point where the valley widens from 5-10 km to 35-40 km, on the left bank of the Alazani river (from which it takes the name the valley). This side of the river is situated at an altitude of 420 m, at the foot of the Greater Caucasus Mountain range. In fact, the name of the family celler comes for this particular view - on one side the snow-capped peaks and on the other the boundless green of the valley.
